Question: Is it possible to create Shopify Buy Buttons with discount codes automatically applied to a shopper’s cart when they go to checkout?

Answer: While Shopify Buy Buttons don’t support discount codes directly, you have a few options:

  1. You can create discount codes that only apply to customers with specific tags then let them know to use those codes when checking out. 
  2. You can share checkout links with particular customers that include discounted rather than regular-priced products. 


Keep in mind that the Shopify Buy Button uses the Shopify Checkout. If your online store uses a different checkout, you won’t be able to use the Shopify Buy Button. You can not configure the Shopify Buy Button to use a different checkout route.
